Once again there was a great afternoon of racing at the ERRA National 12 and 6 Stage Road Relays in Sutton Park as Leeds City and Swansea came out on top in two great races.

An English team of seven athletes enjoyed good results in Dublin on Sunday morning in a very well organised Great Ireland Run 10k.

England Athletics will aim to field the best possible Senior team at the Loughborough International on Sunday 21 May. The primary aim of selections for the team will be to contribute to the development of potential Commonwealth Games 2018 athletes via way of exposure to international competition and environment.

Bud Baldaro and ‘Bud’s Run’ once again fundraising Bud Baldaro and ‘Bud’s Run’ once again fundraising

Bud’s run, a charity event for Parkinson's UK created by endurance coach Bud Baldaro is to return in 2017.  As well as supporting coaches as part of England Athletics’ coach development programmes, Bud has coached many international athletes and been the voice of the commentary at athletics events including the English National cross country and road relays. This year’s event will take place shortly after Bud’s 70th birthday.

BASC bursaries available for coaches and officials BASC bursaries available for coaches and officials

The British Athletics Supporters’ Club (BASC) is looking to assist Coaches and Officials with bursaries.  BASC will award sums of up to £250 to successful applicants who wish to pursue higher standards. This might possibly, but not exclusively, involve attending a qualification course run by UK Athletics, England Athletics or similar organisations.

AAA standards for 2017 to 2018 now published AAA standards for 2017 to 2018 now published

The AAA revise their standards tables every two years and introduce standards for events which appear in the Power of 10 database.  We are pleased to publish the AAA Standards for 2017-2018 season.

Manchester Metropolitan University is working to identify genetic characteristics associated with physical performance, health and injury.

They are currently investigating the genetic influence on bone mineral density and stress fracture incidence within runners.
