Track and Field event licensing
All levels of competition held under UKA Rules require a minimum Level 1 licence (without a competition licence, Power of 10 will not accept results).
Cross Country event licensing
Applications for cross country competitions will only be accepted via the below online method, unless you are in Isle of Man. Your application in the first instance will be directed to your Regional Council Representative, and a Licence issued by England Athletics. We are adopting this partnership approach to ensure that local and national restrictions are considered.
- Apply for a cross country event licence
- Access the cross country post-event form (complete this within one month of your race)
Road Race event licensing
Road race licensing is carried out through RunEvents (formerly runbritain). On successful application your event is automatically added to the event diary and the facility to open your race to online entry on the main site will become available.
Trail Race permits
Trail race permits are managed by the Trail Running Association

Traffic Management Course
This LANTRA Traffic Management course is for all event organisers, event marshals and other interested technical officials both in the commercial and voluntary sectors, and particularly those involved in road races. This course will equip delegates with sufficient information and knowledge to safely direct traffic movements at events. The course will also enable delegates to correctly setup traffic layouts for road closures and enact the traffic controls. The course is delivered by Up To Speed Training.
