Coaching Journey
Coaches and leaders are the backbone of our sport. They inspire, support and work across all events, ability levels, aspirations, and ages to develop all athletes. Through this we aim to produce better athlete enjoyment and performance levels.
England Athletics wants to inspire coaches and leaders by providing direct support through our track & field journey and our off track journey. Both journeys benefit from structured qualifications and on going development opportunities throughout.

The Coaching Pathway
Support for people with a disability
If you are disabled and would like some additional support to become a leader or coach then we’d be happy to help you. Register for the course you’d like to attend and follow the registration instructions to declare a disability and request the additional support you’d like. Then we’ll be in touch to arrange it where possible. Some examples of the support we have provided previously include BSL interpreters, printed resources in large print, support on course (bring a scribe, bring a guide, bring a buddy), and bite size learning (complete a course in smaller chunks).
