Non-Executive Director to join UK Athletics Board.
The successful candidate will join the UK national governing body of athletics, at the heart of a new vision and strategy for the whole sport, shared with the governing bodies in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. ‘Athletics Unified’ sets out our role for the decade ahead in promoting running, throwing, jumping and pushing to everyone, with a clear pathway from the playground to the podium in the nation’s favourite Olympic and Paralympic Games sport.
You will be joining an organisation and sport going through considerable change. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment ‘where everyone can see themselves and we see everyone’. We believe our Board should be from a diverse range of backgrounds, skills and experiences. We have committed to at least two of our Board directors being from a diverse ethnic community background, and at least 30% of the Board to be from each gender. We are also keen to encourage applicants who have recent and relevant athlete experience. For this role, we are actively encouraging applications from suitably qualified women candidates and from diverse ethnic communities.
Salary: Likely to be between £6,000-10,000 per annum.
