Aiming to support para-athletes progressing towards selection for the international senior team

The England Paralympic Talent Programme was set up in 2021, supporting the development of Nationally Classified English para-athletes who have displayed early potential for future selection to GB&NI senior teams and Team England at the Commonwealth Games.

Paralympic Talent Programme 2022-23

The England Athletics talent pathway aims to increase the number of talented athletes who have the skills, competencies, knowledge, and resilience to progress to British Athletics World Class Programmes, succeed at Senior Championships, to share knowledge and to gain a positive experience throughout the journey.

The Paralympic Talent Programme offers a series of technical event specific camps and education workshops to support the progression and development of the selected athlete and their coach. Athletes and coaches will receive:

  • Athlete and coach training camps in England
  • Coach webinars, masterclasses, and conferences
  • Small team international opportunities
  • Mentor support via Talent Coaches (where appropriate)
