Report and video - There was a tremendous afternoon of races at the Norfolk Showground when the national schools’ cross country titles were decided. The races saw a mix of front running, sprint finishes and late changes to medal positions as the county schools teams contested the six championship races.

The Home Countries International Cross Country takes place at the Margam Park Estate, Port Talbot, Wales on Saturday. This is the last cross country of the season and takes place on the same weekend as the World Cross in Uganda. England travel with strong teams targeting wins in all four races.

Following a marvellous New Balance English Schools' AA Cross Country Championships at the challenging venue at Norfolk Showground last weekend, teams were selected to compete at the SIAB (Schools' International Athletic Board) Cross Country International in Wales which takes place on the 25th March.

Over 60 coaches attended the national endurance get together at Loughborough University 11th and 12th March 2017 as part of the National Coach Development Programme. The event held straight after the intercounties cross country championships is part of the ongoing coach development programme and this year was held at Loughborough University campus.

Sir Mo Farah and Kadeena Cox were the big winners at this year's Lycamobile BEDSAs, staged at the Hilton Park Lane, London recently and part-sponsored by England Athletics.  They were named Lycamobile Sportsman and Sporting Equals Sportswoman of the Year at a glittering awards show hosted by Sir Lenny Henry.

Her Majesty the Queen has launched the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton as part of Commonwealth Day celebrations.  Accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh and the Earl of Wessex, The Queen placed Her message to the Commonwealth and its athletes inside the distinctive Baton.
