Movement Skills Workshop: Part 2 - run, jump, throw (Skipton)

Day two of a workshop on how to develop the movement skills which will enable your athletes to move more quickly and efficiently, generate greater force and reduce the risks of injury. Aimed at assisting all coaches, regardless of their qualification level, or the ability/age of the athletes they are working with.

Aimed at assisting all coaches, regardless of their qualification level, or the ability/age of the athletes they are working with.

Steeplechase: winter training focus

Venue: Preston Sports Arena (UCLAN), Tom Benson Way, Preston PR2 1SG

Helen Clitheroe and Stuart Stokes offer practical advice on winter training focus for the steeplechase. What to do, when and how much? This workshop is practical in nature so please bring appropriate kit for outdoors including spikes. Coaches are encouraged to attend with athletes so they can see first hand what is needed and why!

Northwood Academy of Hurdles coaching series

Venue: Northwood Stadium Indoor Area, Keelings Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 6PA

Sessions provide the opportunity for coaches to work in small teams, enabling them to share ideas whilst working with athletes of their selected age group. The emphasis is on the technical development of hurdlers but other aspects of athlete development, e.g. strength and conditioning - will also figure.

National coach and athlete combined events workshop

Venue: Loughborough University, Loughborough, Leicestershire LE11 3TU

England Athletics will be hosting a 2 day National combined events workshop. The workshop format will be based around theory and practical sessions, with invited senior and junior athletes taking part in the practical sessions.

Regional Coach and Athlete Development Day (Lee Valley)

Workshops aimed at all Coaches who have a UKA coaching licence. The sessions at our Regional Coach and Athlete Development Days are event group specific and you book for the sessions which are relevant for you.See booking page for more information.The aim is to bring coaches and athletes together to network and improve coaching practice. The sessions will be delivered by England Athletics Regional Coach Lead with support from National Level Coaches.
