Valencia 10k road race 2023

Strong team of eight set to compete in Armagh

A strong team of eight athletes is set to compete for England Athletics at the Armagh International Road Races on 8 February. A race with huge pedigree, the Armagh International attracts one of the strongest road running fields in Europe every February. The selected England team will go head-to-head with international teams from the other home nations and Ireland as well as some of the leading domestic clubs.

Athletes impress at the Valencia 10k

Known for producing lightning fast times, the 10k Valencia Ibercaja attracts some of the best road runners in the world.  With the men’s race being won by Jacob Kiplimo in a time of 26:48 and the women’s by Agnes Jebet Ngetich in 28:46, a new World Record, there can be no doubt that this year was certainly no exception.

A team of six athletes are preparing to represent England at one of the World's fastest 10km races in Valencia on 14 January. The team, which includes a mix of  experienced athletes and debutants will compete against may of the world's best 10k runners at the 10k Valencia Ibercaja race.

It is with great sadness that Eng;and Athletics share the news that one of Barton And District AC founder members Edwin Bellamy has passed away. Edwin was one of the hard working athletics officials who has been actively associated with athletics, Barton and District AC, Humber Athletics and National Athletics for over 60 years.

Plogging group landing locally

England Athletics is pleased to support Planet Earth Games’ launch of four pilot plogging programmes which kick-off off this weekend. Plogging is an eco-friendly activity combining running and picking up litter. This weekend, four new monthly plogging groups are being launched by the award-winning Planet Earth Games in Newham, Wembley (both London), Bristol and Exeter this month.
