Masters invited to compete at the England Indoor National Championships

England Athletics are delighted to welcome a selection of masters athletes to compete at the England Indoor National Championships on 9 March in Sheffield. We will be inviting the top six masters athletes to compete in the 200m and 800m in each of the age categories from V35 to V65. Last year there were a staggering 1645 athletes who raced over 200m, with 1773 racing the 800m.

This event is renowned for excellent performances and is a great early indoor opportunity for athletes chasing indoor qualifying standards. The team will consist of athletes with varying degerees of experience; for some it is their first international opportunity.

A strong team of 15 throwers have been selected to represent their country against athletes from Sweden, Iceland and Norway. This team is made up of athletes aiming for a spot in the European Under 20 and Under 23 Championships this summer.
