Community Project volunteer award winner provides opportunities for young track and field athletes

The Natasha Lewis Foundation (NLF) works with Team Bath to provide support for not only talented athletes but the club as a whole. This has also enabled the club to work with other community partners such as local schools to arrange teacher training events to help young people get positive first experiences of athletics. And it led to them winning the 2022 Community Project of the Year in the South West.

Through the regional volunteer awards, you can recognise individuals, volunteers, officials, coaches, clubs, club leaders, and projects. The closing date for nominations this year is fast approaching - get your online nomination in by Wednesday 26 July!

In 2020, Paul Sanderson, from Telford AC, was the West Midlands Services to Athletics and Running winner at the Regional Volunteer Awards. He went on to receive our national award for his contributions to the sport, and a British Empire Medal in the King's Birthday Honours last week.
