Officials are key to ensuring competitions go ahead and athletes have a great experience. At the recent West Midlands Regional Volunteer Awards we caught up with Yasmin Al-Daftary, who won an Inspiring Official award, on her officiating career so far and hopes for the future.

Last night we celebrated all the amazing volunteers in the capital. The Regional Volunteer Awards highlighted the exceptional contribution of volunteers to the athletics and running community across London. The hard work, dedication and passion of each individual was clear to see.

New Safeguarding Regulations

UK Athletics and the four Home Country Athletics Federations have a responsibility to safeguard, protect and promote the welfare of Children and Adults at Risk under their care. UK Athletics have formally confirmed a policy of Zero Tolerance towards safeguarding concerns. To ensure an appropriate response, UKA has produced these Safeguarding Regulations to consider and manage safeguarding concerns.
