England Athletics Age Group and Para Championships Day 1: The journey begins

Just as the Olympic Games opening ceremony got under way in Paris, so the first gun fired to get the field going in the opening track final at this Championships in Birmingham. And for everyone this weekend, the magnificent stadium that hosted the 2022 Commonwealth Games proved to be a fabulous venue for athletes beginning their journeys to Los Angeles in four years and beyond.

A Birmingham 2022 legacy: The community of volunteers making our sport special

Our sport is special thanks to the volunteers, without whom events, such as our U20, Senior and Para Championships last weekend, could not happen. These championships were supported by volunteers from Birmingham United by 2022 Volunteer Collective. June 2024: Performance round up

Rounding off with the UK Athletics Championships, which this year acted as the Olympic trials, June has been a busy month of competitions. English athletes shone at the European Championships in Rome, our first England representative para athletics teams excelled in Nottwil and Paris and Molly Caudery and Callum Wilkinson set new British records.

School Games National Final update and webinar

With the season in full flow, we are pleased to see several hundred athletes making the School Games National Final Entry standards across all the events and all four Home Nations. To be considered for selection for the School Games National Finals, all athletes must complete an online registration form to confirm they wish to be considered for the Games.
