Running Industry Awards 2025 concluded in spectacular fashion at the Gala Awards Dinner held on Tuesday 9 Decemberat Burleigh Court, Loughborough University, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, brands, retailers, event organisers and community advocates in a night of recognition and celebration.

England Athletics Club Support Manager Rich Ayling has worked closely with the club, both to complete their Club Standards and more recently, when they were forced to relocate premises. Christel Shaw is part of Brighton and Hove Athletics club where she is currently their officials' secretary. She has been involved in athletics for approximately 40 years, first as an athlete at age 11, then following her children’s  athletic journey which in turn led to being an official for the last 7 years. Below, we detail Christel's officiating journey.

England team call up to Dubai for para athletes

The Dubai WPA (Para) Grand Prix - taking place from 10 to 13 February 2026 - is the first Grand Prix event on the World Para Athletics calendar, and a great opportunity for athletes to post season opening performances ahead of a busy year of championships.  This will be the first time England have sent a team to this Grand Prix, and for the selected athletes, this will be an opportunity to try and achieve qualification for next year's Commonwealth Games.

England Athletics were pleased to again sponsor the Muslim Sports Foundation’s Muslim Sports Awards, held on 5 December at Leeds United Football Club. The Muslim Sports Awards were established to recognise and celebrate the incredible talent, dedication, and impact of Muslims across the UK in sport. Representing us at the evening were Emma Davenport (Clubs and Development Director), Sarah Harrison (Welfare and Compliance Manager), and Head of Participation Programmes Tracey Francis, plus representatives from our RunTogether Groups.
