England Athletics to host open 400m masters event

England Athletics is proud to announce an Open indoor 400m masters event, taking place on Sunday 8 March, incorporated into the England Athletics indoor Age Group Combined Events and Junior Para Championships weekend at the EIS in Sheffield. This event is open to all athletes aged 35 and above. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or looking to challenge yourself on the big stage, this is your chance to shine and inspire our younger athletes - plus win prize money.

Team to represent at Reykjavik International Games

A small but strong team of England talent programme athletes will make up an England indoor track and field team returning to Iceland on 24 January for the 2026 Reykjavik International Games. This event is renowned for excellent performances and is a great early indoor opportunity for athletes chasing indoor qualifying standards. The team will consist of athletes with varying degrees of experience; for some it is their first international opportunity.

The England Athletics Senior and U20 Indoor Combined Event Championships 2026 - incorporating the Senior Para and Walk Championships - will take place this coming weekend at the EIS in Sheffield. As ever, the four competitions – the women’s pentathlon, U20 women’s pentathlon, the men’s heptathlon and U20 men’s heptathlon – feature an impressive entry, many of whom have their eye on this summer’s major championships.

After the successes of previous years, England Athletics will be returning to Sweden on 7 February for the Växjö Throws International 2026. A strong team of 15 throwers have been selected to represent their country against athletes from Sweden, Iceland and Norway.

Team announced for Armagh International 2026

England Athletics is delighted to announce a strong team of eight athletes selected to represent England at the 2026 Armagh International Road Races on Thursday 12 February 2026. An England team has represented at this event for a number of years and it is a great opportunity for our developing road runners. The women compete over 3k whilst the Men’s race takes place over 5k.
