Poole Runners: prioritising fun to retain their members

The summer is a great time for track and field. The sun is shining, the summer season is underway, and athletes of all ages can enjoy our sport. However, September often poses a different challenge, as children head back to school and focus turns away from sport. We recently caught up with Poole Runners on the Dorset coastline to learn about how they have seen such fantastic growth in members of all ages and abilities. The club have smashed their seven out of seven Club Standards, and are making a real difference in their local community.

Masters trail race team v Wales announced

We are pleased to announce the England team for the first Masters representative trail race over the half marathon distance. The competition takes place in the Forest of Dean against Wales on the 28 September. The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean organise two races at the venue during the year on different courses.  Athletes qualified earlier in the year on the Spring course, and the representative race takes place on the Autumn course.
