Something we rarely encounter at home competitions is the Technical Information Centre (known as the TIC), but for major international events such as the Olympics and Paralympics, this is a vital part of the machine.

At our recent England Senior Championships, we were lucky enough to speak to 2x Olympian and British record holder Tom Bosworth as he reflected on his career and how he is seeking to inspire the next generation of race walkers in the UK.

The TD is the most senior competition management position and Chris is the first British official to be TD at an Olympics AND a World Championships! His role is to oversee overall competition organisation from appointment to completion of competition reports.

We are excited to share that the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team will feature 53 English athletes from across 49 affiliated clubs.
