Have you ever considered nominating someone for our Volunteer Awards? This week we talk to a nominator to show that nominating can make YOU feel good too; so it's a win-win. Even if the person you are nominating doesn't progress through to regional or national rounds, they will still receive an email to tell them that they were nominated for one of our Volunteer Awards, and for many that's plenty of recognition

King's Birthday Honours - Paul Sanderson Malcolm Rogers Bryan Smith

Grassroots athletics volunteers receive King's Birthday Honours

As well as the England Athletics Chair Gary Shaughnessy receiving a CBE for his charity work, three English athletics volunteers were also honoured. Malcolm Rogers receives a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to the sport spanning more than 50 years. And there's a British Empire Medal (BEM) for two athletics stalwarts - Bryan Smith and Paul Sanderson.
