World heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson (Aston Moore; Liverpool Harriers) is set to feature among some of the country’s top combined-eventers, as well as some potential stars of the future. The three-day meeting includes the England, UK and BUCS championships for the Senior and under 20 combined-events, the England under 17 and under 15 championships and the England junior para championships.

A Birmingham 2022 legacy: The community of volunteers making our sport special

Our sport is special thanks to the volunteers, without whom events, such as our U20, Senior and Para Championships last weekend, could not happen. These championships were supported by volunteers from Birmingham United by 2022 Volunteer Collective. We caught up with five volunteers at the weekend on their experiences of volunteering at the Commonwealth Games, what they love about volunteering and how they get involved now.

This year's Snowdon International mountain race on 20 July was held in very wet conditions with visibility on the mountain also very poor, but it didn’t stop some fantastic racing. The England team was a mixture of experience and athletes making their England debuts, but both the men's and women’s team would be competitive, all the Home Nations were competing as well as a strong Italian squad.
