Something we rarely encounter at home competitions is the Technical Information Centre (known as the TIC), but for major international events such as the Olympics and Paralympics, this is a vital part of the machine.

U20 Home Countries International team announced

England will be represented by two strong teams at this year’s Home Countries international. A new format of competition, the programme is condensed with a mixture of events for each gender lending itself to a fast-paced competition.

World heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson (Aston Moore; Liverpool Harriers) is set to feature among some of the country’s top combined-eventers, as well as some potential stars of the future. The three-day meeting includes the England, UK and BUCS championships for the Senior and under 20 combined-events, the England under 17 and under 15 championships and the England junior para championships.

This year's Snowdon International mountain race on 20 July was held in very wet conditions with visibility on the mountain also very poor, but it didn’t stop some fantastic racing. The England team was a mixture of experience and athletes making their England debuts, but both the men's and women’s team would be competitive, all the Home Nations were competing as well as a strong Italian squad.

One of the two England Athletics member-elected Board positions is up for re-election at our AGM, scheduled for 26 October 2024. The election process opens today, and the deadline by which England Athletics should have received any nomination is 21 August 2024.
