This year we are making the Regional Volunteer Awards interactive, giving you the chance to decide who your winners are! For the Club of the Year and Community Project of the Year, there will be an online live vote where you will be able to read a little bit about each of the nominees and make your decision. 

England Athletics is proud to announce the first National relay championships for over 40 years. Birchfield Harriers will host this event on Sunday 25 August 2024 at the prestigious Alexander Stadium.

As this action-packed summer of athletics and running continues, the imminent Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games give us chance to not just support our elite athletes on the biggest stage, but to recognise and highlight the contributions of the many who have helped them get there, and those who will be inspired by their performances.

Team Caterpillar is an inclusive running club catering to all abilities, based in the historic market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. Since formally launching back in June 2019 as a RunTogether group, Team Caterpillar has grown substantially and now benefits from being an England Athletics affiliated club.

As our network of clubs is aware, next year will see a significant step forward with regards to our sport providing genuinely safe and welcoming environments, which allow everyone to participate, flourish and share enjoyment of running and athletics.

As excitement builds ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, we thought we'd share some ideas for ways that clubs can make the most of the increased interest around athletics and running. These are our top tips for how clubs can engage their members and athletes in the Games.

The Crystal Palace National Sports Centre is noted for its heritage, scale, and diversity – and has played host to multiple world firsts and record-breaking achievements. And sixty years after its conception, there will be a celebratory event which will include the opening of the newly refurbished and TrackMark accredited indoor and outdoor tracks.

Everyone takes part in running for different reasons, but hopefully the main reason each person laces up and heads outside is for enjoyment. For masters athlete Huma Rahman, she has found her love of running later in life, and grabs every opportunity with both hands to take part and race with friends.

As nations, or clubs, come together from around the globe to compete there is always a rainbow of kit colours and plenty of patterns on show. So, let your creativity run wild to design your dream kit.

Whether a new club are just finding their feet, or they have been running for over 50 years, the common theme of athletics and running clubs up and down the country is the community they create. Shared passion, enjoyment of exercising together and helping others to succeed are what unite us. For West 4 Harriers in Chiswick, they have been at the heart of their local community for a quarter of a century, created as a spin off from the popular Polytechnic Harriers in the 1980s. We were delighted to award West 4 Harriers a Club Improvement Fund grant, and we recently caught up with Club Secretary Jason Drake to see how they used the money to benefit their community.
