Many RunTogether groups up and down the country relies on their local streets and green spaces to run their sessions with running being one of the most accessible sports for people to take part in. However, some RunTogether groups are now looking to local venues to help facilitate extra varied sessions as is the case for North Yorkshire’s Team Caterpillar.

This is one of the premier cross country events in Europe and has been predominantly a race held in January, where England teams have previously enjoyed success when held in January. This winter the move forward to November is advantageous for England as we look to get athletes an ideal race 2 weeks before the UK Cross Challenge and European Trial at Liverpool on 25 November.

Home Countries vote to establish task force to address drop out from athletics

Home Country Athletics Federations (HCAF) met to debate the suggested changes to the existing age groups set out within the UK Athletics (UKA) rule book, following a period of consultation. The suggested changes were from current age groups of U13, U15 and U17 to new proposed age groups of U12, U14, U16 and U18.

The North East Region kicked off the England Athletics Regional Volunteer Awards for 2023 with an evening of inspiration and celebration at Newcastle United's home ground on 27 October. A fantastic launch weekend for the brand-new cohort of Youth Talent Programme athletes

Last weekend over 250 athletes came together at both Loughborough and Birmingham universities for the Youth Talent Programme new cohort training camp! The weekend consisted of lots of training with the national event group coaches as well as interactive workshops including learning all about UK Anti-Doping.
