Yasmin Al-Daftary: New opportunities unlocked through officiating 

Officials are key to ensuring competitions go ahead and athletes have a great experience. At the recent West Midlands Regional Volunteer Awards we caught up with Yasmin Al-Daftary, who won an Inspiring Official award, on her officiating career so far and hopes for the future.

In 2024 we see the Competition Conference moving once again to a stand-alone conference which means we have a whole day, 11-16:30 to discuss topics which are important to you. This year the conference will take place on 14 December at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

16 England athletes took to the paths of Bute Park, Cardiff on Saturday 24 August to take on the other Home Nations and invited teams over 5km. They claimed both team and individual placings in the process.

Day 9 saw the conclusion of the women's heptathlon, the 4x100m relay finals and a British record in the women's 400m final. Day 10 kicked off with the men's marathon followed by the final action in the Stade de France with more relay success for Team GB.
