England 2017 Half Marathon and 10 Mile Road Championships dates announced
England Athletics are pleased to announce that the England 2017 Half Marathon and 10 Mile Road Championships this coming Autumn will once again be in partnership with the popular Great North Run and Great South Run events.
The Great North Run (Half Marathon) takes place in Newcastle on Sunday 10th September, and the Great South Run (10 Miles) in Portsmouth on Sunday 22nd October.
England Athletics will be awarding Championship medals on the day to the top 3 eligible individuals. In addition, the top English athletes will be offered the opportunity to compete for England in a road international off the back of performances on the day, subject to meeting England qualifying standards. Selection policies for these events and further information will be provided nearer the time, but the Great North Run provides a high quality race experience and a great opportunity for aspiring English athletes to gain an international vest.
