National Endurance Conference - How to Win: The Development of Power and Speed for Endurance

Venue: The Devon Hotel, Old Matford Lane, Exeter EX2 8XU

Speakers including Malcolm Brown (coach to many international athletes as well as Alistair and Jonny Brownlee), and Barry Fudge (Head of Endurance at British Athletics). The weekend takes the theme "How to Win - the development of power and speed for endurance" and has a mix of workshop, practical, discussion and networking sessions.

Movement Skills Workshop: Part 1 - run, jump, throw (Enfield)

Venue: College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London, 73 Hertford Road, Middlesex, EN3 5HA

Day one of a workshop on how to develop the movement skills which will enable your athletes to move more quickly and efficiently, generate greater force and reduce the risks of injury. This workshop is for coaches working with athletes who are club level through to aspiring to international level.

Race Walk Training Day (Leeds)

Venue: Leeds Beckett University Athletics Track, Headingley Campus, Churchwood Avenue, Leeds, LS16 5LF

Race Walk Training Day. This session will focus on technique and conditioning for race walking, tempo training, and a QA session with an international athlete reflecting on their 2017 season.

Regional coach and athlete workshop - Throws (Nottingham)

Venue: Harvey Hadden Sports Village Athletics Track, Wigman Road, Bilborough, Nottingham, NG8 4PB

England Athletics will be hosting regional coach and athlete development workshops covering discus, shot, javelin, and hammer. These workshops are aimed at coaches who have completed the Athletics Coach qualification or the old level 2 and above.

Regional Coach and Athlete Workshop - Speed 1 (Lee Valley)

Venue: Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61 Meridian Way, London, N9 0AR

Covering 100m to 400m, sprint and long hurdles. 1.5 hour theory session on managing athletes in a training environment then a 1.5 hour practical session - with event specialist to identify key principles to add value and context to your coaching. Part 1 of a 2 part series.

Youth Development - how to make the most of Athletics 365 (Sheffield)

Make effective use of the award-winning Athletics 365 resources with your athletes. Ideal for Coaching Assistants, Athletics Coaches, those new to Athletics 365 and/or youth development and experienced practitioners wishing to refresh and consolidate their knowledge.

A workshop covering Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump aimed at Coaching Assistant and Athletics Coach level. A theory session on physical preparation and planning followed by a practical session.
