Regional Coach and Athlete Workshop - Speed 2 (Bristol)

Venue: WISE, New Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, BS34 8LP

Covering 100m to 400m, sprint and long hurdles. 1.5 hour theory session on managing athletes in a training environment then a 1.5 hour practical session - with event specialist to identify key principles to add value and context to your coaching. Part 2 of a 2 part series.

Marathon Preparation Evening (Leeds)

Venue: Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, University of Leeds, Bodington Avenue, off Otley Road, Adel, Leeds LS16 8NA

For coaches and athletes working towards the Performance Marathon Group times. Ideal for coaches looking to develop coaching knowledge in the marathon and Good For Age (GFA) marathon runners. The evenings will include key speakers and discussion groups talking through practical experiences of marathon preparation.

Endurance Masterclass with Malcolm Brown (Leeds University)

Venue: The Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, University of Leeds, Bodington Avenue, off Otley Road, Adel, Leeds LS16 8NA

A very exclusive chance to sit and chat with Malcolm Brown about all things endurance. Malcolm was a speaker at the recent Endurance Conference and has been coach to many international athletes as well as Olympic triathlon medalists Alistair and Jonny Brownlee. Numbers are very limited to allow time for coaches to interact and get the most out off the session with Malcolm.

Movement Skills Workshop: Part 2 - run, jump, throw (Gateshead)

Venue: Gateshead College Academy of Sport, next to Gateshead Int Stad, Neilson Road, Gateshead, Tyne And Wear NE10 0EF

Day two of the workshop on how to develop the movement skills which will enable your athletes to move more quickly and efficiently, generate greater force and reduce the risks of injury. This workshop is for coaches working with athletes who are club level through to aspiring to international level.

Regional Coach and Athlete Workshop - Endurance (Devon)

Venue: North Devon Athletics Club, Wrafton Rd, Braunton EX33

Endurance workshops looking at specific areas for endurance coaches looking to develop their athletes. This workshop will cover the basic aspects and key areas of use of anatomy in endurance: functional running anatomy, basic anatomy, gym based assessment; use of resistance bands and base squat patterns. It also includes practical applications and programming; how to progress and when to regress.

Northwood Academy of Hurdles coaching series

Venue: Northwood Stadium Indoor Area, Keelings Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 6PA

Sessions provide the opportunity for coaches to work in small teams, enabling them to share ideas whilst working with athletes of their selected age group. The emphasis is on the technical development of hurdlers but other aspects of athlete development, e.g. strength and conditioning - will also figure.
