Welcome to our Development Event Calendar. This comprehensive resource is designed to provide coaches with numerous opportunities to expand their coaching expertise beyond the qualification pathway. Some events are aimed at athletes but personal coaches are welcome to attend - please check details of individual events.
From workshops and seminars to webinars and networking sessions, the events below are hosted by England Athletics, as well as a variety of partner organisations to help coaches enhance their skills, explore new methodologies, and gain fresh insights. No matter where coaches are on their coaching journey, there are plenty of opportunities listed below to inspire and challenge our coaching workforce.

Para athletics
Wheelchair Racing Talent Series (St Mary’s University): November 2025 - March 2026
England Athletics talent camps bringing together our selected England Talent Programme wheelchair racing athletes. Camps are delivered by National Wheelchair Racing Development Coach, Richard Chiassaro, and we are offering the chance for 5 coaches to work with Rich to learn more about wheelchair racing. Seated throws Coach and Athlete days (Lee Valley and EIS Sheffield): November 2025 - March 2026
Three opportunities to develop knowledge of seated throws including equipment, biomechanics and coaching practice. Aimed at throws coaches (no experience necessary) and led by world renowned seated throws coach Dr Alison O’Riordan. Second and third dates tbc.
