Pilot National Club Relay Development Programme
The aim of the programme is to support club coaches to deliver relay training sessions that will improve their technical relay skills in the 4x100m and 4x400m. We will show you the training techniques used at England Athletics and UK Athletics International relay training sessions and how they can be adapted to your athletes’ age and stage.
Sessions in April and June. Following these two sessions, we will encourage these teams to compete at the National Relay Championships on 17th August, where we will be able to give feedback to the teams who took part in the programme.
12 April | Pilot National Club Relay Development Programme We will take coaches through the technical and tactical elements of both relays, provide participants with a relay development manual and go through a practical relay session with athlete demonstrators. The aim is that the coaches will then be able to utilise these sessions at their club environments | Lee Valley | Club | Register now |
