Years in athletics: 4
Athletics involvement: Athlete (sprints/hurdles), Assistant Coach, prospective Official
I am passionate about sport. I started competing and coaching in athletics 4 years ago, before that I played hockey and before that I played football. Now I focus on hurdle disciplines. At the start of this New Year I completed my level 2 athletics assistant coach qualification. I am looking to undergo the level 1 officials’ course before the summer.
Outside of athletics, I coach many different sports and clubs including: handball, tennis, badminton, archery and trampolining. I enjoy working alongside young people as they are often very enthusiastic and always bring a different perspective to the sport.
I am currently studying Physical Education at the University of East Anglia. I have been involved in the Scout Association for over 10 years and I am currently in two youth support teams, helping to develop scouting for the next generation.
I joined YAG because I have a passion for developing sport and athletics. I want to make athletics the best it possibly can be for the upcoming generation and get them inspired, by sharing my experiences and the ones of others; so we can shape athletics to encourage as many people as possible in all areas of the athletics and sport.
I am most looking forward to getting involved with the grass roots of athletics and helping provide the same experience I have had for others!
