Regional Volunteer Awards 2021 - one week to go!

Our Regional Volunteer Awards evenings are almost upon us! Join us as we celebrate the fantastic contribution that volunteers make to our sport.

We’re hosting nine virtual regional awards nights throughout November and early December to shine a spotlight on the dedication, inspiration and hard work that our volunteers bring to athletics and running. The Regional Volunteer Award categories are:

  • Athletics or running club of the year
  • Coach of the year
  • Newcomer to officiating
  • Unsung hero of the year
  • Young volunteer of the year (aged 14 – 21)
  • RunTogether group of the year
  • Leader of the year
  • Innovation in athletics and running
  • Services to athletics and running

Each of the awards evenings will be streamed live on the England Athletics YouTube channel so that family, friends and fellow club and group members can follow the action online at 7pm - see below for dates and links for live broadcasts:

Speaking about the awards, Emma Davenport, England Athletics Head of Club Support and Participation, said:

“Clubs and Volunteers are the heartbeat of our sport. It is great to recognise their contribution as well as thank all the nominees, runners up and winners at their regional awards evenings. I very much look forward to celebrating with them during the upcoming regional events in November and December.”

You can also follow our social media channels for further updates and confirmation of the winners and runners-up after each regional awards night.

Regional winners will be put forward to an external panel that will select the finalists for the chance to win one of our prestigious National Volunteer Awards.
