The Sports Club Survey is undertaken by the Alliance in partnership with Sport England that aims to assess the health of sport and recreation clubs across the country. It features questions on a variety of topics such as membership and volunteer numbers, club finances, the key challenges sports clubs are facing and a clubs' relationship with its local County Sports Partnership. We're partnered with easyfundraising, who've helped sports clubs and groups like yours raise over £2.4m thanks to local communities shopping online. Over £300,000 was raised in 2017 alone! Together this year, we're going to help you raise even more.
There's less than a month to go until our very first conference dedicated entirely to helping people make the most from volunteering in our fantastic sport. Being held in Birmingham on 3rd February, the Team Spirit conference, funded by our partners Spirit of 2012, will bring together volunteers from right across the sport to grow, learn, share and celebrate with one another.

After the first day of England Athletics' championships in 2018 saw a record breaking, start athletes returned to Sheffield's EIS for the second day of the indoor combined events championships, as well as the indoor race walking titles being decided and the British Milers' Club hosting races. There was plenty of action to enjoy.
Holly Mills (Club: Andover AC, Coach: James Coney) made a record breaking return to combined events when she took the England Athletics U20 Indoor Pentathlon title. Both Holly and Jade O'Dowda (Club: Oxford City AC, Coach: Marcia Marriott) eclipsed the former championship record as the Senior and U20 men also got their championships underway.
England Athletics are launching a series of Road Shows for the club road running community. The Road Shows are open to club officers, coaches, leaders and club members and offer an opportunity to find out more about some of the new and existing initiatives that aim to support road running clubs, as well as an opportunity for you to share your ideas with us.
England Athletics' Club Run programme is a free initiative specifically aimed at supporting road running clubs. Participating clubs receive a free series of practical coaching sessions led by coaches linked to the England Athletics coach development programmes with experience in off track running. 2018 appllciations are now open.
