UK vaulting pole exchange

England Athletics have been looking into ways to provide a UK Pole Exchange service for athletes and coaches, to support the work of the Local and National Coach Development Programmes (LCDP / NCDP). As a result of feedback from programme members, we have now launched a free online service - for people to advertise poles for sale and wanted.

The online format uses google docs, an open resource which enables a free service to be provided by Pole Vault coaches and athletes for Pole Vault coaches and athletes; the forum is open and available for all athletes, parents, coaches and clubs to use. There are three tabs at the bottom of the resource screen – giving the open to list or view Poles for Sale, Poles Wanted and Other Equipment for sale (such as pole bags).

Ellie Spain, National Coach Mentor for Pole Vault, said, "This live format for athletes, parents and coaches to buy sell or exchange pole vault poles and equipment, will hopefully ease the burden of sourcing the appropriate poles as athletes develop and grow through their vaulting career.”
