Masters teams selected for Tenby road races
England Athletics are delighted to have worked in partnership with England Masters Athletics Association and the British Masters Athletics Federation in selecting a team to compete at the Masters International to be held within the 'Welsh Long Course' event hosted by Activity Wales, Welsh Athletics and Welsh Masters in Tenby on 3 July.
Up to eight athletes were selected in each of the age bands from 35-65+ to compete over 5km, 10km or half marathon distances. The 180-strong team includes fantastic depth across the board including 14:46 5k man Dan Nugent, the winner of the 2022 Chester Half Marathon Alice Braham, to Derek Jackson who at the age of 71 has a season's best of 39:23 over 10k, and V55 Sara Avery who set a 5k time of 18:32 this year to move to 4th on the UK all time rankings.
