England athletes vying for European honours

It’s set to be a pulsating start to the month for some of England’s finest track and field talent with the upcoming European Indoor Championships and European Throwing Cup.

Star names featuring for Great Britain and Northern Ireland across the two events include Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games medallists Keely Hodgkinson, Daryll Neita, Asha Philip, Lawrence Okoyo and Scott Lincoln.

The European Indoors takes place in Istanbul, Turkey (2-5 March) with the European Throwing Cup being hosted in Leiria, Portugal (11-12 March).

UKA’s aims when selecting the teams for both events is to maximise the number of medals won, whilst also providing a development opportunity for athletes capable of finishing in the top eight.

Athletes on our England Athletics Talent Pathway programmes have also been selected across the two events, including Eugene Amo-Dadzie, Jack Rowe, Isabelle Boffey, Ben Higgins, and Taia Tunstall.
