This resource is aimed at coaches, athletes, clubs, parents and others wanting to know more about how to support young endurance athletes. funetics funetics is a fun and inclusive programme, created by England Athletics, to help 4-11 year old children learn, develop and practice running, jumping and throwing all year round, for a healthy, active and confident future. Athletics 365 A multi-event, young people development programme, which introduces athletes to the fundamental skills of athletics (vital to every sport). It is aimed at 8-15 year olds, but the resources can easily be adapted for use with younger athletes. Run, Jump, Thow The Run, Jump, Throw resource embraces a child’s natural desire to move. The resource focuses upon running, jumping and throwing, the building blocks of athletics, which in turn underpin nearly all other sports and physical activities.
Leading Athletics Our Leading Athletics practical workshop is a two-part webinar-based series. This online delivery incorporates two 1.5 hour sessions. Open to anyone aged 14 years and above looking to lead athletics activities for young athletes. AAA The AAAs provide funding, events and competitions to help with the development of young athletes. The AAA has also safeguards the history of the sport and awards its historic and valuable trophies to elite athletes. English Schools' Athletic Association The ESAA is an independent organisation which promotes the enjoyment of athletics in schools, and encourages the development and discovery of athletic talent. Sportshall Athletics An indoor competition format for young athletes. Sportshall emphasises the importance of team competition, fair play and the fact that taking part and being your best is more important than winning.
