I wouldn't have had an athletics career if it wasn't for volunteers: Jo Pavey

Five-time Olympian Jo Pavey describes the importance of volunteers and has a message to anyone considering making a nomination.

But you don't have to be an Olympian to know that volunteers have helped you on your athletics and running journey! Most clubs are organised and run by volunteers; your coach may well give up their free time to help you and other athletes both in training and competition, events and championships need lots of volunteer officials and administrators to provide the right opportunities for athletes. Or perhaps you are a volunteer yourself and coaching or officiating colleagues have helped you get where you are?

So have a listen to Jo's message and take a little time out of your day to thank a volunteer by nominating them for the England Athletics Volunteer Awards. Nominations close Wednesday 26 July.
