England youth triumph at Trofeo Opitergium road race

A team of eight athletes and two team support staff travelled to the small city of Oderzo in northern Italy for the 7th Trofeo Opiterguim U20 European Road Race on Thursday 1 May.

The England Under 20 team took on eight nations from across Europe in an exciting race, all athletes showing maturity and an exciting future over the distances. England women won the U20 silver team prize on cumulative times.

There was an individual bronze medal from Lucy Wilkinson with a new PB of 16:32, three seconds in front of team member Freya Bradley.
