England Athletics to recruit Regional Club Coaching Leads

England Athletics seeks to inspire more athletes and runners of all abilities and backgrounds to fulfil their potential and to have a lifelong love for the sport.

For many, the first formal entry point into our sport is the club environment.

The positive experience that athletes gain from working with highly skilled, passionate, and motivated club coaches can have a major impact on both the athlete’s development and long-term engagement in our sport.

England Athletics are passionate about helping club coaches to grow and develop their knowledge, skills, and experience.

The new Regional Club Coaching Leads will work with club coaches and identified clubs in their region to create communities of practice; help coaches through the Coaching Assistant, Athletics Coach and Coach in Running Fitness awards; support the development of clubs Heads of Coaching / Coaching Coordinators and work with identified clubs to help develop their Coaching structure and offer.

There will be nine Regional Club Coaching Leads working across the nine England Athletics regions (North East, Yorkshire & Humberside, North West, East, East Midlands, West Midlands, London, South East and South West).
