England Athletics announce the team for Copenhagen Marathon

England Athletics is delighted to announce the seven athletes who will represent England at the Copenhagen Marathon in May.

The race provides an excellent opportunity for English athletes to gain experience of a high quality international marathon over a flat and fast course.

Ross Braden (Kent AC) has a marathon PB of 2:14:32 and is selected after running 2:15:47 and setting a half marathon lifetime best in the selection window.

Ollie Lockley (Leeds City) finished 14th at the 2022 Commonwealth Games Marathon and is selected after running 63:44 over the half distance in October.

Jason Hall (Leeds City) ran a huge PB at the Valencia marathon in December to gain selection, clocking 2:17:28.

Chelsea Baker (Bristol & West) set a big marathon PB of 2:36:06 at London in 2023 before going on to set new lifetime bests over half marathon and 10k in the selection window.

Sally O'Gorman (Stockport) set a 10k PB of 33:33 at Trafford in March building on PBs over the half (73:43) and marathon (2:37:48).

Heather Townsend (Leeds City) also set a 10k PB at Trafford clocking 33:44, building on PBs of 73:40 over half and 2:37:01 over the marathon distance.

Ultra distance athlete Melissah Gibson (Ealing Eagles) completes the team having set a PB of 2:36:39 at Seville in February and recently moving to 2nd on the UK all time list over 100k at the Anglo Celtic Plate.
