Nottingham and the popular Ikano Bank Robin Hood Half-Marathon was host to this year's England Half Marathon Championships and two new worthy England Champions emerged from yesterday's race.
On Saturday 13 October we will induct more of the greats of the sport into the England Athletics Hall of Fame and honour those volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to athletics and running. You can join us, Hall of Fame inductees, volunteers and more at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, for this exciting awards evening.
Walsall in the West Midlands was the venue to celebrate our amazing volunteers in that region. Katharine Merry hosted the evening and Acting Regional Chair Dave Lodwick presented the awards to the winners and runners up in ten categories. Winners are then put forward to our National Volunteer Awards.
Our England Athletics regional Volunteer Awards presentation evenings are now well underway and Washington was the venue for the North East awards on 19 September. Nine North East Region winners received their awards and eight worthy runners up were presented with certificates and a bottle of bubbly.

The Virgin Money London Marathon process for club place allocation for the 2019 event has been announced. Applications will open on the week of 5 November with the number of club places allocated based on the number of registered first claim members over the age of 18 on that date. Please ensure your athlete registrations are up to date to be ready to apply for the maximum possible number of club places.
UK Athletics received board approval to change rule 21 S4 (8) regarding Composite Clubs, which took immediate effect (Sept 2018). This rule change will update the Composite Club process to as outlined.

The Aviva Community Fund offers Athletics and Running Clubs the chance to get funding for causes important to your community. The Fund will finance over 500 projects across four different fund levels and three categories, giving money to communities across the UK.
