The information you send on behalf of your club is a vital component of what it means to be involved in athletics and running and being part of your club. It is important that every communication you send, whether it is a calendar of events, a poster or a newsletter, reaches the widest possible audience. The more people you can successfully communicate with the better.
Club members, athletes, runners, officials and volunteers are invited to come along to meet, discuss and share ideas on athletics and running with members of the England Athletics Board and staff. This event takes place on Tuesday 17th July (6:30pm - 9pm) at John Charles Centre for Sport, Leeds, Middleton Grove, LS11 5DJ.
Prior to the new General Data Protection Regulation coming into effect on 25 May we sent an update to clubs about the resources that we have available for them. In addition to the advice, guidance and templates that we have made available over the last 6 months, working with Black Penny Consulting, England Athletics have developed a practical tool that clubs and other Athletics and Running organisations can use to document, audit and check and challenge their processes involving data.
This weekend saw new marks set in both the Senior and Under 20 Women's Heptathlon championships as the Combined Events action continued at Bedford. The men's events also saw tremendous competitions including an absolutely thrilling finale to the Under 20 men's event.
The England Athletics Senior and Under 20 Combined Events Championships are all set for an exciting second day with Day One drawing to a close at Bedford. There were also Under 18 and Disability events to enjoy.
There will be strong competition across a range of events at Bedford International Athletics Stadium this Bank Holiday Monday as the BIGish Jumps and Throws Fest returns. High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot, Discus and Hammer will be showcased throughout the day and the event looks set for some excellent competitions.
The Mountain Running Senior Home International takes place within the 2018 British Athletics European Mountain Running Championships Trial which will take place at Sedbergh on 2 June. We are pleased to announce the England team who will compete at the event.
This weekend sees the England Athletics Senior and Under 20 combeined events championships, with a Decathlon for the men and a Heptathlon for the women. In addition, England Athletlcs are providing the opportunity for Under 18 hurdlers to gain qualification times for the European Youth Championships, and hosting a number of Open disability events for ambulant athletes and wheelchair racers.

The WMRA International Mountain Running Youth Cup will take place at Lanzada, Italy on 16 June. We are pleased to announce the England team who will compete at the event.
