England Athletics hosted a National coach and athlete jumps workshop last weekend which aimed to get the jumps community together, coaches and athletes sharing knowledge and networking. An impressive line up of top level coaches delivered presentations and sessions to 40 coaches and 19 athletes, with a good mix of senior and junior athletes working together.

Runners at last year's Great South Run had the tail end of Storm Brian to contend with, but what a difference a year makes. Yesterday the mass start runners were being advised to take on plenty of water and wear sun screen. This hugely popular event incorporated the England Athletics 10 Mile championships.

The Sport and Venue Programme for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games was confirmed and celebrated on Friday 19 October, as five Team England medallists joined Birmingham 2022 Chairman John Crabtree and pupils from Mapledene Primary School for a sporting showcase at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.
The AAA Tom Pink Relays have been bringing joy to thousands of children across the country each year since 2007. The format, which introduces athletics competition to the younger age groups, has been funded from a legacy left to the AAA by the Pink Family in memory of their son Tom, a keen athlete who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 18.

England Athletics will be hosting a two day National combined events workshop on 10 - 11 November with presenters including Toni Minichiello, Mick Hill and Mike Holmes. The workshop format will be based around theory and practical sessions, with invited senior and junior athletes taking part in the practical sessions.
