Entries are now open for the Antrim International Cross Country at Greenmount on 6th January 2018. This is the 41st Edition of the competition which has been held at various venues across Northern Ireland since it began at Mallusk in 1977. The event is in its 9th year at Greenmount.

Today marks the five-month countdown to the commencement of the Commonwealth Games athletics schedule in Australia's sun-drenched Gold Coast. Team England announced selections for the 75-strong athletics squad on 24th October, and those athletes will now have their sights firmly set on what is considered the competition pinnacle for England representative teams.
National Disability Sports Organisation British Blind Sport have produced a range of bespoke tethers to enable visually impaired people to run with a sighted guide runner in a safe and enjoyable way. British Blind Sport hope the sale of this product will help more visually impaired people to enjoy running and physical activity as part of their Find a Guide project in partnership with England Athletics.
In the 10th year of the Tom Pink Relays event, the atmosphere at Lee valley recently buzzed with young athlete teams "Chasing Kelly", "Chasing Steve", and "Keeping Up with Paula" on the track. Meanwhile, others competed in events such as Caber Toss and Highland Steps, as well as more traditional Sportshall events like Standing Long Jump and Shot Put. The Tom Pink Relays also provided great opportunities for new volunteers to give officiating a try.
As part of the governance review of the sport the Board have agree to review the purpose of the England Athletics Council Structure. We would like to remind you that we want to hear from people within the affiliated sport who are interested in having a role in this process as a representative of England Athletics' member clubs.

Once again the Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash proved a popular choice for club runners looking for a high quality field and a fast 10k, with Sunday's race living up to its billing. And neither of the two new champions were favourites going into the race. In addition, 189 predominantly club runners broke 34 minutes, and 29 athletes broke the England Athletics road running development standards.
