funetics curriculum licence – for primary schools and multi academy trusts
With the ongoing investment of PE and Pupil Premium funds, your school can obtain an extended funetics curriculum license. This will enable you to confidently and competently incorporate funetics into your PE curriculum, offer it as an after-school club, and include it in holiday camps as part of your enrichment services.
Created by England Athletics and exclusive to primary schools, the funetics curriculum licence:
- Is an easy-to-teach physical activity programme aligned with the national PE curriculum (Key Stages 1 & 2).
- Allows teachers to deliver funetics as part of the Physical Education program within curricular and after school, without external support.
- Ensures your school children participate in a safe, fun and nurturing environment whilst recognises and rewards learning and development. he
- Gives teachers and funetics Leaders access to the funetics digital platform, which provides traction and credibility through a skills-based competency framework and underpins the physical literacy requirements for every child.
- Online primary sports coaching training for 2 x primary school teachers, and 4 funetics leaders: open to support workers, teaching assistants, and mid-day supervisors
- funetics equipment starter pack
- Online access to youth sport coaching session plans, videos, games and activities
- 4 year-licence agreement costing only £500 and thereafter £75 annual fee for years, 2, 3 & 4. This fee is for state, free & faith schools (total investment: £725). For Independent day and boarding schools the fee is £750 and thereafter £75 annual fee for years, 2, 3 & 4 (total investment: £975)

funetics school licence – for school games organisers, active partnerships, leisure operators and multi academy trusts
With a funetics school licence, your organisation will be given a geographical area (80-100 schools) to deliver funetics in primary school settings during breakfast, curriculum and after-school clubs.
The package includes:
- 80-100 primary schools
- Three coaches trained as funetics coaches
- Four volunteers trained as funetics leaders (14+)
- Three sets of funetics apparel
- Three funetics equipment bags
- Digital platform, including your own micro-site
- Onboarding and marketing support
Cost: Four-year licence: £5100 (plus VAT)
funetics community licence – for local authorities, local community groups and leisure operators
With a community licence you will be given a geographical area to deliver funetics in community settings (leisure and community centres, parks and open spaces, or alternative venues where sport can be delivered safely) at evenings and weekends in up to four identified locations.
The package includes:
- Four unique venue locations
- Two coaches trained as funetics coaches
- Four volunteers trained as funetics leaders (14+)
- Two sets of funetics apparel
- Two funetics equipment bags
- Digital platform, including your own micro-site
- Onboarding and marketing support
Cost: Four-year licence: £2550 (plus VAT)
funetics community licence – for single operators
The Community Licence, priced at £500, offers a single operator the opportunity to join the funetics programme. This includes training for two staff members or volunteers to become funetics club and community activators, a full set of equipment, access to a digital platform and app, and all the resources needed to deliver a comprehensive Run, Jump, and Throw foundation skills programme. Additionally, we will provide training for four members of your organisation to become "Leading Funetics" volunteers — no prior experience is necessary, just a minimum age of 14.
funetics track and field club licence
As an affiliated track and field club you are entitled to access funetics free of charge. Our funetics team will help you identify how funetics can be best used within your club to support the development of your junior sections. With its flexible approach to delivering run, jump and throw; funetics, your club will receive:
- Two coaching training places
- Four funetics leaders workshop places
- Full access to the digital platform and funetics resources
