England team ready to race in Austria

England Athletics wish all the best to the team travalling to Austria this weekend to contest the Attnanger Mile event. The International Attnager Spitz Meile is a unique and well-established men’s mile road race which annually attracts athletes from across Europe and East Africa.

The team have been selected following attainment of a minimum standard, and based on form, fitness and competition history. Very experienced  Jamie Webb is in form at 800m, as well as his progress at 5k on the roads this winter should be amongst the favourites to win. James Young clocked the fasted 4k leg time and a PB recently at the Northern Road Relays.  Tommy Horton took double gold at the Steel Cup 1500m / 3000m earlier this year.  The latter two team members raced at the Armagh 5k recently.
