Officiating scenarios

We’re working with a number of our higher level officials to create a series of Officiating scenarios documents to help educate and inform new and current officials, or people interested in officiating, to illustrate some of the situations that may arise for officials and how they might deal with them.  The answers to the scenarios are provided in a separate document so that officials can spend time considering how they might deal with the situation posed before referring to the answer document.  See below for the latest editions:

Staying connected

We recognise that many within our officiating family may be missing their officiating colleagues at this time and looking for ways to stay in touch.  We’ve created a series of advice and suggested online tools to help people within our Athletics & Running community to stay connected.

Mental wellbeing

Our sport, nation, and the world as a whole is going through a challenging time at the moment.  With many people spending more time at home, and with restrictions on movement in place, we want to make sure that everyone in the England Athletics family, including our officials, protect their mental wellbeing and that of others.  We’ve produced some advice and tips for looking after your mental health as well as highlighting a range of free resources and support available through mental health organisations.
