Level 2 progression

Level 2 progression

The Level 2 course is made up of 4 modules, all of which are taught on this attendance based course. These are as follows;

  • A generic officiating module
  • The Start
  • The Course
  • The Finish

 

To obtain a level 2a (club) endurance officials' licence, candidates have to;

  • Attend the Level 2 course
  • Complete and submit 4 in competition experiences on an endurance officials' log sheet
  • Read and understood the Health and Safety Guidance Document for Endurance Officials

 
When you have attended a Level 2 Course, you will receive a logbook with a CD (this will be distributed either on the course or after the course). The logbook is essential in if you are looking to progress through the structure. 

 
To obtain a level 2b (county) endurance officials' licence, the following must be completed in addition to the requirements for 2a (club) above);

  • Completed any 3 of the six modules contained on the CD (please note that if you are looking to referee races at this point, you must complete the race referee module)
  • Attended an endurance officials risk assessment course (again, this must be completed if you are looking to referee races at this level)
  • Completed and submitted 6 in competition experiences on an endurance officials log sheet, at this point you must demonstrate in your experiences officiating within the county and not just local or home club races.

 

To obtain a level 2c (region) endurance officials licence, the following must be completed in addition to the requirements for 2a (club) and 2b (county) above);

  • Completed the remaining six modules contained on the CD
  • Attended an endurance officials risk assessment course
  • Completed and submitted 10 in competition experiences on an endurance officials log sheet, at this point you must demonstrate in your experiences officiating within the region or within your home country and not just local, home club or county races.
  • Obtained one positive report of your officiating from a senior race official/presiding race referee.
