Steeplechase: workshop, come and try, training day

Venue: Conference Park, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston. Birmingham B15 2RA

A Steeplechase workshop with the opportunity to come and try or use as a training day will be held at Birmingham University for both athletes and coaches. The waterjump will be full and available. The session will led by England Athletics steeplechase coordinator and Olympian Helen Clitheroe (PB 9:29.14) and Commonwealth Games steeplechaser and University of Birmingham coach Luke Gunn (PB 8:28.48).

Steeplechase training for beginners and improvers

Venue: Julie Rose Stadium, Ashford, Kent TN24 9QX

Two practical sessions - An introduction to the event, hurdling and barrier clearance. Suitable for athletes aged 11+. No previous experience of steeplechase is needed. - Practical sessions to improve hurdling, barrier clearance and water jump skills.Suitable for athletes aged 13+ who have some experience of steeplechase training.

Have you got the POWER? Throws open evening

Venue: Macclesfield Leisure Centre, Priory Lane, Macclesfield, SK10 4AF

Macclesfield Harriers AC is holding an open "Have A Go" throw event. This free two-hour event will give men and women a chance to try any of the four throwing events, which includes shot put, discus, javelin and hammer. The evening will have a fun and social feel to it, as there will also be live music, food and drink available.

National Endurance Conference - How to Win: The Development of Power and Speed for Endurance

Venue: The Devon Hotel, Old Matford Lane, Exeter EX2 8XU

England Athletics' National Endurance Conference with speakers including Malcolm Brown (coached to many international athletes as well as Alistair and Jonny Brownlee), and Barry Fudge (Head of Endurance at British Athletics). You can be part of the weekend which takes the theme "How to Win - the development of power and speed for endurance" and has a mix of workshop, practical, discussion and networking sessions.

The Event Group Integration Day is the final step in gaining an Event Group Qualification and will pull together much of the content covered within the qualification online modules, through discussion and group work. Coaches who have completed the Event Group Endurance online course of this qualification should book on to one of these Integration Days.

Event Group Coach integration day: Jumps (qualification)

The Event Group Integration Day is the final step in gaining an Event Group Qualification and will pull together much of the content covered within the qualification online modules, through discussion and group work. For coaches who have completed the Event Group Jumps online course, plus add-on Pole Vault and Triple Jump modules and Pole Vault assessment.

Event Group Coach integration day: Sprints and Hurdles (qualification)

Venue: Stantonbury Athletics Stadium, Soskin Drive, Milton Keynes. MK14 6GB

The Event Group Integration Day is the final step in gaining an Event Group Qualification and will pull together much of the content covered within the qualification online modules, through discussion and group work. Coaches who have completed the Event Group Sprints and Hurdles online course of this qualification should book on to one of these Integration Days.
