Movement Skills Workshop 1

Venue: Netherhall Sports Centre, Cambridge

Movement skills workshops 1 and 2 are aimed at assisting all leaders / coaches at all qualification levels, for all different ability and age of the athletes they are working with - from a 12-year-old multi-eventer to the senior international discus thrower, to the recreational road runner attempting their first 10km race.

Key drills and activities for developing starts / acceleration and full flight running practical. Highlighting common faults observed and provide recommended interventions to address these faults.

Key Drills and activities for developing endurance running. Highlighting common faults observed and provide recommended interventions to address these faults.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children

Venue: Hambleton District Council Civic Centre, Stonecross, DL6 2UU

Every child deserves to enjoy their sport. This workshop will raise your awareness of the tell-tale signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should never need to arise in your coaching career.

Cross country endurance masterclass

Venue: The Roger Bannister Athletics Track, Iffley Road, Oxford, OX4 1EQ

An opportunity to hear and talk to athletes and coaches who have been at the top of the sport and who can pass on valuable knowledge and advice on cross country endurance. This is not a lecture and will be conducted in a relaxed atmosphere where you can interact directly with the experts. Run by Spencer Duval and Richard Nerurkar. -- 2/9/16 SOLD OUT --

RLSB Blindfold Run and Taster session

Venue: Lee Valley VeloPark, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Abercrombie Rd, London E20 3AB

The Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB) are now planning further Blindfold and Guide Running Taster Sessions sessions in September and October, this time at the Lee Valley VeloPark in The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
