Athletics Technology Come and Try Day with Seiko

Venue: Manchester Regional Arena

SEIKO timing are working in conjunction with England Athletics to deliver a come and try day for officiating - see and try the EDM (Electronic Distance Measure), False Start, Photo Finish, Electronic Measuring, Transponder Timing and Scoreboard technology. There is the opportunity to become a qualified official and also a chance to be selected to work for SEIKO on the World Championship events.

South West Club and County Cross Country Championships

Venue: Exeter Race Course, Kennford. EX6 7XS

The England Athletics South West Club and County Cross Country Championships 2017. Applications for entry are now open. Races include U11 Development (not champs) and U13, U15, U17, U20 and Senior including Masters W35, W45, W55, M40, M50, M60.

Movement skills workshops 1 and 2 are aimed at assisting all leaders / coaches at all qualification levels, for all different ability and age of the athletes they are working with - from a 12-year-old multi-eventer to the senior international discus thrower, to the recreational road runner attempting their first 10km race.

Regional coaching workshops: Jumps

Venue: Millfield school Butleigh Road, Street BA16 0YD

England Athletics will be hosting the four coaching workshops covering Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump and Pole Vault on Wednesday evenings. This will be a great opportunity to get some coaching assistance with your athlete.

Marathon workshop with Mara Yamauchi

Venue: Stanley Park, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN15 3RR

Mara Yamauchi will talk about all aspects of preparing for a Marathon including race paces, nutrition, hydration and injury prevention. The talk is aimed at Run Leaders and Coaches as well as runners who are wanting to develop their own knowledge in this field.
