Performance Marathon Workshop

Venue: North Devon Athletics Club EX33 2BT

This is aimed at both Marathon Coaches and Marathon Athletes who have an eye on performance; with the ideal outcome is the creation of a SW performance driven marathon network. This will be a totally practical and interactive introduction day.

Venue: Gateshead College Academy For Sport

Covering writing training plans for 5000km and 10000km and development of coach-athlete pairs, physical preparation for large groups, steeplechase.

SEAOA (Southern Officials') Conference

Venue:

The SEAOA (Southern Officials') Conference will take place. Following a vote at the February 2014 conference it was decided to hold the conference in the Autumn instead, hence two in 2014.

East Midlands Local Coach Development Day

Venue: Loughborough High Performance Centre at Loughborough University

Last year's East Midlands Local Coach Development Programme was incredibly successful and we are pleased to announce that we have another Winter of free LCDP days organised. There are four sessions planned this time so you have two opportunities to attend coach development events before the end of the year and two more in the New Year.

Youth Endurance Training workshop

Venue: Sporting Edge, Edge Hill University, Ormskirk

This 3 hour workshop is for all endurances coaches working with young endurance athletes in the U15-U17 age group. The session will be a practical session with two elements, one looking at Strength and conditioning of younger athletes and the other is a training run using the new fitness trail at Edge Hill University.

Biomechanics for Athletes

Venue: Alleynes Sports Centre Oulton Road, Stone ST15 8DR

A 30 minute interview with Emma Jackson followed by a 30 minute window for questions from the floor. Then Emma will lead a drills based session suitable for athletes from a range of disciplines (not just middle distance) and Matt will unpick the biomechanical adjustments.
