Club Forum Evening (Cornwall)

Venue: The Hub Club, Carn Brae TR15 3SQ

England Athletics will be hosting three Club Forum Evenings for club members to find out more about the England Athletics Whole Sport Plan and where clubs or Run England groups fit into this. The local Athletics Networks will present on the Networks' plans and successes and there will be County-specific presentations.

Coach Development – Health in Athletics "Recovery"

Venue: Institute of Sport Exercise & Health (Goodge Street Station), 170 Tottenham Court Road, W1T 7HA

The workshop will provide you with information on the science of recovery, general recovery strategies, injury rehabilitation (Specifically returning an athlete to training after knee injuries) and compression in athletics (pros and cons).

Physical Prep without the Gym

Venue: Woodcote High School, Meadow Rise, Purley, Coulsdon, Surrey CR5 2EH

The workshop will focus on developing the physical qualities for all events using a versatile equipment bag, specifically the use of medicine balls and strength bands for the development of key strength related movement patterns and also exploring the use of a suspension training for the development of general strength and trunk conditioning.

High Jump Takeoff and Drills

Venue: Woodcote High School , Meadow Rise, Purley, Coulsdon, Surrey CR5 2EH

The workshops will be a practical session focusing on takeoff and drills, with the ability to demonstrate good posture with an controlled running technique to accomplish an effective takeoff covering the essential key components necessary for a developing your athletes.

West Midlands Local Coach Development Day

Venue: Birmingham HiPAC Alexander Stadium, B42 2LR

Physical Preparation Workshop with Darren Fowler, Event Group Workshops (Speed, Long and Triple Jump, High Jump, Shot Put) and Leadership in Running Fitness Workshops.

North East LCDP - Throws

Venue: Gateshead College Academy For Sport

Covering the fundamentals of Hammer, the fundamentals of Discus, developing a run up for Javelin, the basics of rotational Shot, how to coach a Throws warm-up.

Planning the athletic year (endurance)

Venue: St Mary’s University College Twickenham London TW1 4SX

As part of England Athletics programme the Endurance Performance And Coaching Centre (EPACC) would like to invite coaches and athletes to a workshop from that will be based on planning the athletic year.

East Midlands Local Coach Development Day

Venue: Loughborough High Performance Centre at Loughborough University

Last year's East Midlands Local Coach Development Programme was incredibly successful and we are pleased to announce that we have another Winter of free LCDP days organised. There are four sessions planned this time so you have two opportunities to attend coach development events before the end of the year and two more in the New Year.

How Do You Structure A Training Plan? (South Yorkshire Run Leader Workshop Series)

Venue: Accelerate Performance Centre, 629 Attercliffe Road, SHEFFIELD, S9 3RD

This workshop will help you to understand the basic steps you can advise any runner to help them safely develop their training on a weekly and monthly basis. From recovery to faster paced running these tips are logical and easy to follow for the beginner or more experienced runner.

Covering how to coach a Jumps warm-up, delivering Pole Vault in large groups, running drills for High Jump, developing your coaching eye through run-up take-off drills for horizontal jumps, open Question and Answer session.
