England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones went to visit the Berkshire club along with Club Support Manager John Harris. The club has a range of training and competition opportunities for athletes but has also been very proactive in the development of young volunteers.

The three Bexley Mencap runners, Luke, Emmanuel and Matt, like to keep fit, and are regular members of Bexley Mencap’s Run Together group which provides Keep Fit classes for people with Learning Disabilities.
The Sight Loss Awareness and Guide Running workshop enables Leaders, Coaches and Volunteers to attract and support more visually impaired (VI) people to athletics and running. There are two workshops running at this location on this date: 9am-11am and 11am-1pm. You only need to attend one.
