ESAA return to competition

England Athletics have received the following statement from the English Schools' Athletic Association (ESAA):

English Schools' Athletic Association recognises the challenges that have accompanied the return to competition following the devastating effects of the coronavirus on sport, as well as all other areas of life and the fact that all athletics will be planning for the period after the school summer holidays. With this in mind, and following the precedent that the Combined Events Final and Race Walk Championships always take place during September, we have agreed that all school outdoor track and field events during the autumn period use the same age groups as they would take part in during the ‘normal’ summer, until 31 October 2020.

Please note that for Domestic and Club competitions, UKA have also announced an extension to Age Group requirements to 31 October 2020. Click here for the UKA announcement.
