NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR OUR VOLUNTEER AWARDS 2020

Now’s your chance to nominate the unsung heroes at your club or group! Regional winners announced in September leading to National Volunteer Awards as part of the Hall of Fame Ceremony in October.

2020 is certainly a year we’ll remember for the devastating effects of the global pandemic on our lives, the sporting calendar and our communities.  We’ll also share a sense of pride in all the frontline workers who are continuing to help keep us safe during this difficult time.

As your membership and development body, we have been working to help you stay active and keep connected to the athletics and running family while our clubs have had to shut their doors and competitions have been postponed.

Many of you have joined in with our Athletics and Running @home programme and helped share our first Home School Pack to help primary school aged children learn the fundamental skills of running, jumping and throwing with our funetics programme.

All of this wouldn’t have happened without your support and enthusiasm for sharing your love of our amazing sport.  Our Volunteer Awards this year will acknowledge this contribution with a new award category based on community support given through our Athletics and Running @home programme.  In addition, we will be recognising those volunteers, coaches, officials, RunTogether groups and long-term service by individuals who have helped make us proud since nominations closed in June last year for the 2019 awards.

2020 Volunteer Award Categories

There are nine different award categories for both the regional and the national awards:
