Gun to Tape - Event Organisers' workshops

A new workshop from England Athletics to help off-track clubs with event organisation is aimed at new or existing event organisers looking at staging road or multi-terrain races.  This introductory workshop aims to provide clubs with both inspiration and information around setting up a new event or revitalizing an existing one.

The workshop aims to guide you through what makes for a successful event including; the needs of the target audience, getting started, volunteers, officials, risk assessment and safety, as well as guidance on where to go for further information and support.  Attendees at the Gun to Tape workshop will also be able to explore local partnership ideas.

Please note, for experienced Event Organisers seeking detailed technical information, the runbritain Race Director's course offers more in-depth training.

The workshop will take place during November, with an additional event yet to be confirmed depending on interest:

• Wednesday 7th November – Staffordshire
• Wednesday 14th November – Brighton
• Monday 19th November – Milton Keynes
