Team announced for Seville cross country

The Cross Italica in Seville, Spain is one of the premier cross country events in Europe and has been predominantly a race held in January, where England teams have previously enjoyed success. This winter the move forward to 12 November is advantageous for England as we look to get athletes an ideal race two weeks before the UK Cross Challenge and European Trial at Liverpool on 25 November.

The Seville race is held around a Roman excavation hence the name ‘Cross Italica’. As it is in a warmer and sunnier area of Europe, the course is usually mainly dry and suitable for fast running which will enable many athletes to achieve their peak in Liverpool.

Team manager Eamonn Martin said, "Our hopes as a team are to give the athletes competing every advantage and opportunity to achieve their goal of making the GB team for the European Cross Country Championships in Brussels on 10 December."

We wish them all the best!
