Rising to the Challenge at the International U18 Mountain Running Cup
The beautiful village of Donovaly in Slovakia provided a platform for the 18th edition of the International U18 Mountain Running Cup where 120 young athletes from 18 nations came together to showcase their talent.Â
On a challenging uphill course that stretched 5.2km and included an elevation gain of over 550m, the event delivered an unforgettable experience which pushed the athletes to their limits and tested both endurance and resilience.

U18 Girls
First off were the U18 girls, led by Isla Pastor who is the youngest member of the team at just 15 years old. Isla delivered an exceptional performance to finish in 18th position and was supported by Millie Jebb in 27th, Graihagh Turner in 29th, and Izzy-Mai Wilson in 31st position. The girls showcased remarkable persistency, finishing in 8th team position.

U18 Boys
Next to face the testing course were the U18 boys. Jay Hutchinson strategically paced the race flawlessly to cross the finish line in 9th position. He was followed closely by the youngest member of the team, Jake Ireland in 22nd, Jack Sanderson 28th, and England debutant, Thomas McKee in 39th position. The boys showed true grit and determination to secure 7th team position.
